2009 Election Dates

  • August 4 - Special Elections

    Absentee ballots, returned in person, must be received by the boards of elections by close of polls. If voter, or voter's minor child, is hospitalized because of medical emergency, voter may apply for absentee ballot until 3PM.
  • August 14

    Absentee ballots from the August 4 election must be postmarked by August 3 and be received by boards of elections by August 14, ten days after the election, to be counted.
  • October 5

    Deadline for voter registration for the next general election, November 3.
  • October 31

    Applications by mail for absentee ballots for the November 3 election must be received by boards of elections by noon.
  • November 3 - General Election
